Ron, Shannon, Toby, and a Navion
We are not full-timers and we do not pretend to be. We travel part-time, which is how most people over fifty actually do this.
Who is behind this
Ron is a U.S. Navy veteran with roughly thirty years of RVing behind him — long enough to have made most of the expensive mistakes personally. He writes the guides, runs the numbers, and does the talking on camera.
Shannon is his wife and the reason any of it is organized. Toby is a mini Bernedoodle who has strong opinions about travel days and none at all about fuel economy.
We used to full-time. We do not any more, and the channel reflects that: this is content for people who have a house, a life, and a rig they want to use properly for part of the year.
Winnebago Navion 24V
Built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Twenty-five feet of compromise that mostly works — it fits in a national park site, drives like something you would actually park downtown, and gets mileage a gas Class C cannot touch.
We film the service visits too, including a walk-through of the Winnebago factory service center in Forest City, Iowa. When the rig or the brand genuinely appears, we tag @Winnebago and use #WinnebagoLife — because it is their rig, and credit is cheap.
