What the dropdown loads, and what it deliberately does not. Picking a state fills in that state's average effective property tax rate and income tax rate — figures that are published, stable enough to be useful, and easy for you to check. It does not fill in the veteran property tax exemption, because that depends on your disability rating, sometimes on your county, and it changes most legislative sessions. A calculator that guessed at that for fifty states would be wrong somewhere within a year, and wrong in a way that costs a veteran real money on a move.
